UFPA Application School:
Basic digital photography
2018
As part of the subject of internship for the Visual Arts Degree at UFPA, under the supervision of Professor Breno Filo, who was teaching about contemporary art, I gave regency for the high school class of the UFPA School of Application.
To begin the regency, we initially talked about conceptual art, understanding photography as a link of dialogues and narratives, from images of world renowned artists and regional artists, whose productions have great power in issues that affect our locality. In addition, we contextualize photography as a demarcating technique of modern time and inducing strong influences in the modernist and contemporary mode of artistic production.
Afterwards, we started to explain the technical part of digital photography, with that, we worked on concepts such as diaphragm, ISO and exposure time. This phase was a preparation for the moment of practice that was experimentation with the lightpainting technique, which consists in producing drawings with light in long exposure.
The students really liked the activity. They organized themselves into groups that were divided into photographers, models and those who produced the lights. After the activity, they were very excited with the images resulting from the process, showing a lot of desire to share them on social networks.
