   Unsaid

2017

Winner of the Funarte Contemporary Art Award 2015, the exhibition and artistic research platform Unsaid was in Belém from January to February 2017. I acted as a mediator and artistic assistant raising reflections and debates about the crisis of political representation in which we live. The exhibition brings together works created from the remains of electoral campaigns collected in Brazilian urban centers.

The educational proposals were made through scheduled visits of school audiences, non-governmental organizations and universities, in which we did activities related to the theme of the exhibition according to the age group of visitors.

On Saturday afternoons the activities of the reading-discussion-experimentation group of the exhibition were given, in which were debated about  varied themes, such as a collective reading of the text The Feet of the Sun Stepped on the Forest, by Davi Kopenawa Yanomami and about how the African matrix movements are being pursued in Belém, being activated by a procession that began on public roads and continued until the exhibition, in which the participants carried six banners produced by the artist Arthur Leandro.

Unsaid is not only a photographic exhibition, it is a project that is in continuous development. Thus, one of the proposals is to promote interventions in the cities where the project passes through. In Belém, I helped in the interventions in the city with Ana Lira, such as the installation of a tarp in a public square of the city and the painting of writings in the street.
