VIII Diário Contemporâneo Photography Award
2017
The VIII Diário Contemporâneo Photography Award is an important mobilizer of the artistic scene in Belém by stimulating reflections and debates based on the work of artists nationwide. The project has the concern on the dialogues established with the visitors, this way, it has a process of formation and selection of people who act directly with the public in educational actions.
I participated as a cultural mediator in 2017, being allocated to the UFPA Museum. I acted as mediator of the exhibition and the Museum for visiting and scheduled groups, mainly from schools. This work is extremely important because people can be affected by mediation in such a way that they can be instigated to go to other Cultural Institutions, to be interested in researching arts, to change their ways of acting; who knows, to conject new ways of life.
Acting in education marked an initial relationship with the Prêmio Diário, which in the following year developed with my participation as a selected artist to the exhibition. In 2019, due to the experience of acting as an educator, I returned to research about the Prêmio Diárioas the theme of my Graduate thesis for the Degree in Visual Arts at the Federal University of Pará.
